On a warm June night, the 35-year-old entrepreneur met up with two teenage girls, aged 17 and 18, and took them to his apartment in central Stockholm. They ate, danced TikTok dances, and drank Prosecco.
The 35-year-old had previously been in contact with the 18-year-old via Instagram and had met both teenagers on a few occasions.
The three individuals, the two young women and the now-convicted 35-year-old, generally agree on what happened at the beginning of the evening. By midnight, they left the apartment. By then, the 35-year-old had been naked in the apartment and had sex with the 18-year-old, kissed the 17-year-old, and touched her breasts. Opinions differ on what was consensual and what was not.
Intoxicated to the Point of Unconsciousness
The three went to a bathing area and nature reserve in Stockholm. It was there that the rape occurred. While the 18-year-old was on the phone, the entrepreneur inserted his fingers into the heavily intoxicated minor. The girl was so drunk that she was later taken to Maria Youth, an emergency department for people under 20. When she woke up a few hours later, an examination of her genitals revealed clear injuries.
In interviews, the man initially stated that he was the one who penetrated the girl's genitals with his fingers, only to later change his story and claim that the girl had masturbated in front of him.
The girl denies this, and the court finds her account of the events credible and consistent with what her friend also reports.
The man is sentenced to three years in prison but has appealed the verdict. He denies the charges related to the rape allegations.
