The area has been cordoned off, and a preschool and local residents have been locked down due to the operation.
– However, the preschool initiated this on their own – not at our request, says Fredrik Svedemyr, spokesperson for the West Police Region.

He explains that the cordons have been expanded continuously during the operation. Currently, they cover an area of at least 200 by 200 meters.
– It is important to respect them, says Fredrik Svedemyr.
According to TV4, the suspected dangerous object is a thermos bomb. However, Fredrik Svedemyr does not confirm this information.
– I can say that the national bomb squad is on the way. Once they are finished, we may be able to say whether it was a live object or not.
The newspaper Hallandsposten reports that the police are also searching gardens in the area.
Two Individuals Detained
