Per's Bed Delivery Nightmare: Sent to the Wrong City Four Times
Per Wiklander, 70, from Tomelilla, suffers from sleep problems. His newly ordered bed has been sent to Arboga four times.
At the beginning of the summer, Per Wiklander moved from Sollentuna to Tomelilla in Skåne. His old bed was worn out, so he decided to order a new one from Jysk. A week later, he received the first call.
– It was the driver calling to ask for my address. When I gave it, he said, "Oh, I'm in Arboga," says Per.
According to the delivery company Bring, they had received the wrong postal code, which Per quickly corrected. A few weeks later, another driver called, also in Arboga.
– "Not you too," I thought, says Per.
"Who Keeps Sending It to Arboga?"
He then managed to involve Jysk in the delivery issue, who tried to ensure that Bring had all the necessary information.
– A week later, I got another call from a driver asking where I lived. When he got my address, he replied, "Well, I'm in Arboga," says Per.
Frustration and hopelessness began to grow.
– They had the right name, postal code, and street address, yet the bed ended up in the wrong place. I don't understand. Who keeps sending it to Arboga of all places?
Forced to Sleep on an Air Mattress
On Monday, Per's hopes were raised again when Bring called to say they were almost at his location.
– I stood outside on the street for fifteen minutes before I reached the driver. Can you guess where he was? In Arboga!
For over a month and a half, he has been forced to sleep on an air mattress.
– All I can do is laugh at the misery. It feels like I'm in a Monty Python sketch.
Bring's Response
In an email to Expressen, Bring apologized for the situation.
"What happened is that we received incorrect delivery information from the start. In an attempt to correct this, it unfortunately led to the deliveries not being completed. Normally, a new delivery is sent while the original delivery is returned. This did not happen in this case, and we apologize for the customer's long wait."
Per is clear that no blame should fall on Jysk.
– They are fantastic, everyone involved is working hard to get me my bed, and they are completely innocent. The problem lies entirely with Bring.
