Pensioners and Savers to Receive Compensation

The Swedish Pensions Agency is reclaiming nearly 48 million SEK linked to Allra.

Savers and pensioners will receive a portion of the 240 million SEK lost in the Allra scandal.

Over 86,000 individuals will share nearly 48 million SEK, according to a press release from the Swedish Pensions Agency.

Most affected individuals will receive between 100 SEK and 1,000 SEK.

– I am pleased for the savers who are now receiving financial restitution. This is part of the pension that savers and pensioners in Allra were deprived of in 2012, says the Director General of the Swedish Pensions Agency, Anna Pettersson Westerberg, in a press release.

“We Will Not Give Up”

The funds will be automatically credited to the affected individuals' premium pension accounts, requiring no action on their part. The payment will appear as a “correction” when logging in. The amount depends on the time and size of the holding, the agency states.

– The Swedish Pensions Agency continues to work intensively to locate, reclaim, and return the funds lost in Allra and other criminal activities in the fund market. We remain persistent in our efforts to recover the money. We will not give up until we have returned the funds to pensioners and savers, says Anna Pettersson Westerberg.
