Peg Parnevik captivated the audience at this year's Victoria Day concert, engaging the entire royal family in attendance. Earlier in the day, King Carl Gustaf was in an exceptionally good mood despite a tight schedule.

"You can sing a little faster," joked the monarch.

Slightly behind schedule, the royal couple and the crown princess family emerged at Solliden Palace to kick off the Victoria Day celebrations.

King Carl Gustaf, in high spirits, didn't let the time pressure affect the atmosphere and initiated a sing-along for Crown Princess Victoria, who turned 48.

"Now the process will be short, so let's start singing right away!" directed the king.

After the gathered royal fans celebrated the crown princess with "Happy Birthday," it was the turn of an invited children's choir from Borgholm.

"Do you have a little song for us? Then sing it – you can sing a little faster, so it goes quicker," joked King Carl Gustaf, 79.

Kiss My Princess!

Crown Princess Victoria also spoke on the gravel field outside the royal family's summer palace.

"I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for coming here today. You have brought the sun, you have brought joy, you have brought fantastically wonderful energy," said the crown princess.

Also present at the palace were the children, Princess Estelle, 13, and Prince Oscar, nine.

Crown Princess Victoria took the opportunity to put her arm around her daughter and give her a kiss on the forehead before the entire royal family boarded the carriage for the procession through Borgholm town.

Family Gathered in the Castle Ruins

When the crown princess family arrived at Borgholm Castle ruins, younger siblings Princess Madeleine, 43, and Prince Carl Philip, 46, joined them.

Princess Sofia is on maternity leave with little Princess Ines, but Princess Madeleine's husband Chris O'Neill was present in the castle ruins for the evening's Victoria concert.

They were entertained by Lisa Nilsson, Peg Parnevik, Greczula, Ida-Lova, and Peter Jöback.

The crown princess beamed throughout the concert and frequently reached for her son Prince Oscar, patting him on the cheek.

Lisa Nilsson has long been a favorite artist of the royal family, but one of the evening's biggest cheers went to Peg Parnevik when she ventured into the audience and danced in front of the front row.
