Hundreds of liters of oil have leaked from a garbage truck that veered off the road outside Borås on Monday afternoon. The accident will result in a prolonged cleanup effort for the municipality, reports P4 Sjuhärad.
A garbage truck drove off the road near Viskafors outside Borås on Monday afternoon, leading to an extensive rescue operation, writes P4 Sjuhärad.
According to the rescue services, there are no reported injuries. However, the truck has leaked hundreds of liters of oil.
– Hydraulic oil is leaking into the environment from the truck, and there are waterways nearby. So we are working to stop it, says Henrik Andersson from the rescue services.
Around 7 PM, the rescue services handed over the operation to the municipality, which will now clean up the site.
The cause of the accident remains unknown.
