The incident occurred last Saturday when an ambulance was dispatched to an address in Harmånger. Shortly after the ambulance arrived, the paramedic, a woman in her 40s, was attacked with a sharp object. She was taken to the hospital, but her life could not be saved.
The suspect is the person the ambulance was there to assist. He has been arrested on probable cause, suspected of murder.
