Mysterious Bullet Casings Found in Almondy Cakes: Sabotage Suspected
A new bullet casing has been discovered in a cake from Almondy, reports GP.
In the latest incident, a bullet casing was found in an almond cake by Maria Hernevik in Gothenburg.
"You want to understand. One might ask what the purpose is? I don't find it frightening, just strange," she told the newspaper.
Previously, four cases of illegal threats have been investigated after casings were found in various cakes in Western Sweden from the same manufacturer. The cakes were purchased in different stores.
Cake manufacturer Almondy has confirmed suspicions of sabotage, suggesting it might have occurred in stores since neither metal detectors nor surveillance cameras have detected any internal anomalies.
The public is urged to contact the police if more casings are found.
"For evidence preservation reasons, we wish they contact the police for further handling of the casings. However, they are not dangerous to handle," police spokesperson Jennifer Last told GP.
