Mouz Triumphs in Thrilling Marathon Against Liquid

It was an unbelievable marathon thriller. Brollan and his Mouz team survived the crucial encounter.

"In the end, it was all about who wanted it the most," Brollan told Blast.tv.

Swedish CS star Brollan has been a success since taking over the captain's role in Mouz.

On Friday evening, the Swede faced the player whose spot he took over—Polish Siuhy, now playing for Team Liquid. One of the teams would be eliminated.

Mouz had full control of the events on the opening Dust2 from the start and won the map 13–8.

On Nuke, Team Liquid showcased a strong CT side, gaining a four-round lead before the side switch. Mouz had nothing to counter on the normally strong home map, and Liquid won it 13–4.

The teams' fates were decided on Mirage.

Triple Overtime

There, Mouz won a chaotic pistol round and then had a strong start as defenders, largely thanks to Israeli Spinx's outstanding play.

But Liquid turned a 1–8 deficit into a 10–9 lead. Overtime was needed to separate the teams. And double overtime. And triple.

Mouz was long in a deficit, but in the end, it was Brollan and his team who emerged as winners after a 22–19 victory in the marathon thriller.

They thus survive their first crucial match, while Team Liquid is eliminated from the Austin Major.

Mouz now stands at 1–2 in matches and must win two more to secure a playoff spot. A loss, however, means elimination.
