Mohamsson Rejects Being Andersson's 'Quota Immigrant Friend'

Liberal Party leader, Simona Mohamsson, strongly reacts to statements from Social Democrat leader Sara Kukka-Salam regarding the ethnic composition people should have in their friendships.

The comments were made during a discussion on integration and mixed housing when Sara Kukka-Salam was interviewed by Svenska Dagbladet.

– "If one in five friends is not foreign-born, I would say that one is not contributing to an integrated Sweden," she stated.

This prompted the newly appointed Simona Mohamsson to speak out. On X, she wrote:

"The Social Democrats want an immigrant quota in social circles. I refuse to be one of Magdalena Andersson's quota immigrant friends."

"Educate, Behave, and Care"

Recently, the Social Democrats and Magdalena Andersson have emphasized the importance of mixed housing to reduce segregation, including a package of 59 proposals.

This has led several government representatives to criticize what they see as an overreliance on social engineering, with insufficient demands for adaptation from newcomers. Both Elisabeth Svantesson and Johan Forsell have labeled the proposals as "forced mixing."

Simona Mohamsson wants more focus on Swedish values.

"Educate, behave, and care," was the slogan in her Almedalen speech, and this week she announced her intention to map clan structures in Sweden and the values of immigrants.

– "We have never really dared to talk about Sweden as a liberal democracy that has long held incredibly strong values on various issues," she told Dagens Nyheter.
