Max Verstappen faces suspension from a GP race if he receives another penalty point. When the motorsport star was questioned about this ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix, he expressed his frustration with the press.

– It's a waste of time and childish, said the 27-year-old.

In Montreal, George Russell of Mercedes will start in pole position, with Max Verstappen of Red Bull in the second starting position.

During the press conference before the race, when Verstappen was asked how the suspension threat might affect his driving style, the atmosphere suddenly turned tense.

– It's a waste of time. It's very childish. I don't want to say too much because it's very irritating – this world we live in.

The question was then passed to Russell.

– I have a few more penalty points to play with, noted the Mercedes driver.
