Mats Persson, the outgoing Minister for Employment and Integration, is set to return to the Swedish Parliament, reports Sveriges Radio Ekot.

"I have been in national politics for ten years and feel it's time to do something else in life," Persson said on Wednesday in connection with his resignation.

However, his replacement in parliament, Camilla Mårtensen, now tells Ekot that Mats Persson will return and that she will vacate the parliamentary seat she held while he was a minister. How long he will remain is unclear.

"Mats was clear with me when he spoke that he didn't know how long he wanted to stay in parliament," says Mårtensen.
