Masked Gunman Targets Villa Door in Segeltorp

A masked individual has fired shots at the front door of a villa in Segeltorp, south of Stockholm. The police are investigating the incident as an attempted murder.

The alarm about the shooting in Segeltorp, located in Huddinge Municipality, was received at 19:35 on Thursday.

"We received information that shots had been fired at the front door of a residence and that a masked man had then fled the scene," said police spokesperson Anna Westberg.

The targeted residence is a villa. The incident is classified as a serious weapons offense and attempted murder. Anna Westberg initially did not comment on whether anyone was home but confirmed that no one was injured.

"We have an ongoing operation with various resources – dog patrol, helicopter, and others – searching for the perpetrator."

Regarding potential motives, Anna Westberg stated:

"We have information that we are working from. We have leads to follow."
