Man Fatally Shot in Alvesta

A man in his 30s has been fatally shot in central Alvesta. The murder occurred in the stairwell of a multi-family building in the city.

– We have substantial resources on site and are actively searching for a perpetrator, says Sara Andersson.

Shortly before 6 PM on Friday, police and ambulance services were alerted to a shooting in central Alvesta. Upon arrival, they found a man in his 30s injured. The shooting took place in the stairwell of a multi-family building.

By 9 PM, police announced that the man had died.

– We have no one arrested or suspected at the moment. The area has been cordoned off and technicians are on their way, says police spokesperson Sara Andersson.

The relatives of the deceased have been informed, and the case is being treated as a murder.

– We are taking standard investigative measures, interviewing witnesses, and conducting door-to-door inquiries, says Sara Andersson.
