Man Critically Injured in Arvika: Two Arrested for Attempted Murder
A man in his 20s is being treated for life-threatening injuries following a violent incident in Arvika on Monday.
The man was taken to the hospital with severe to life-threatening injuries in Arvika on Monday. He is in his 20s, and two men of the same age have been arrested.
They are suspected of attacking him with a weapon, thus attempting murder.
Suspected Attempted Murder
"Two young men have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in attempted murder. We do not yet know what role they played, who did what," says Mattias Henriksson, the duty officer at the Bergslagen police region.
"We are investigating two possible crime scenes, one indoors and one outdoors," he says.
The attack took place in central Arvika on Monday afternoon. Two ambulances and an ambulance helicopter were dispatched to the scene. The police received the alarm at 3:40 PM.
The police are investigating the motives behind the incident. There is no suspected link to gang crime.
"There is no direct connection to gang crime or other criminal activity. But we are investigating if there could be motives behind what happened. A technical investigation will be conducted during the evening and night," says Mattias Henriksson.
