Major Foxtrot Raid: Police Seize 26 Weapons in Stockholm
The Stockholm police successfully conducted a major operation over the weekend targeting the Foxtrot conflict, seizing a total of 26 weapons.
In recent years, Stockholm police have been under immense pressure due to ongoing gang conflicts. Several arrests have been made following shootings and bombings, with suspects also intercepted while planning violent acts.
A key focus in the fight against gang violence has been the confiscation of gang weapons.
In a previous operation in April 2023, a jackpot was hit when over 37 firearms were discovered in Södertälje, linked to the criminal network Foxtrot.
This weekend, the police once again significantly disarmed organized crime. According to Expressen, 26 firearms were found during a raid on an address in Spånga. The weapons will be examined by police forensic experts to assess their condition.
Several Arrests Made
The raid was the result of intensive surveillance work conducted by a unit within the Järva police. This was the same unit that traced the leads to Södertälje and made the weapons seizure two years ago.
Initially, the case involved suspected drug trafficking. A woman was detained earlier this summer, but over the weekend, it escalated to a particularly serious weapons offense following the raid in Spånga.
Prosecutor Lotta Karlsson is leading the preliminary investigation and has requested the detention of six individuals following the weekend's raid in the weapons and drug case.
– I don't want to say much about this, says Prosecutor Karlsson.
According to Expressen, 26 weapons have been seized?
– I do not want to confirm that.
Detention hearings are ongoing on Tuesday at the Solna District Court.
