Windy and challenging conditions. That's when Maja Stark had enough and broke her putter. – "There she shows her frustration," says Viaplay's commentator Anders Sjöstrand.

Maja Stark claimed her first major career victory when she won the US Open in early June.

The PGA Championship has not been as smooth.

The 25-year-old was the only one of seven Swedish women to make the cut, but was far from the top in the challenging PGA Frisco in Texas.

The Swede was +11 when TV cameras caught her on the green.

– "Oh, she's putting with a wedge. What happened to the putter, Maja?" says Viaplay's commentator Anders Sjöstrand.

Threw the Club to the Ground

The answer came shortly after. New footage showed Stark breaking her putter after throwing it at her own bag.

– "There she shows her frustration. She breaks the putter there, the caddie doesn't look very impressed. Maybe that's why things have been a bit slow," says Sjöstrand.

According to golf rules, a damaged club cannot be replaced, and Stark had to finish the round without a putter.

Stark ended with a total of +12 and tied for 47th place.

Australia's Minjee Lee won the tournament by three strokes at –4. It was the 29-year-old's third major victory in her career.
