Lelle Modig Returns to TV4's 'Nyhetsmorgon'

After a twelve-year absence, Lelle Modig is back as a roving reporter on TV4's 'Nyhetsmorgon'.

"I've missed my job all the time," says the beloved TV personality to TV4.

On Midsummer's Eve, Lelle Modig, 74, makes his comeback on TV4. The TV personality is a familiar face with his 23 years in front of the camera, but in 2013 he left the channel due to personal reasons.

"I watch a lot and I've been longing to return, and now I'm stepping through the doors again here at TV4 after 12 years. You can't accuse TV4 of ageism or anything, I'm 74 years old," he tells the channel.

Modig was one of the first journalists on the scene after the Estonia disaster, but many also recognize him from the viral Christmas tree clip where he was wrapped up like a Christmas tree.

"Yes, that was the craziest. And I lied when I said it was a lifelong dream. It was a whim, I can say in hindsight."
