Severe overnight storms have led to significant flooding at Möllstorps camping on Öland, with rainfall equivalent to half a month's worth in just ten hours. Despite the challenges, campers remain positive, with some relocating due to the water levels. SMHI had issued warnings, and the area continues to experience heavy rain.

Öland Campground Flooded Amid Heavy Rainfall
Overnight storms swept across Öland, causing significant flooding. At Möllstorps camping, the equivalent of about half a month's rainfall fell within ten hours.
"There's water over large parts of the area," says camper Peter Skoog to Ölandsbladet.
SMHI had warned of downpours over central Öland on Tuesday night, and the rain arrived as predicted.
In just ten hours, 47 millimeters of rain poured down on Möllstorps camping, equivalent to about half a month's rainfall.
Peter Skoog from Vetlanda has borrowed pallets from the campsite's storage, as the water around his caravan is 10 centimeters deep.
"We could borrow as much as we wanted. The flooding isn't really something to complain about; it's quite cozy with the rain anyway," he tells Ölandsbladet.
Forced to Relocate
Parts of the campsite are below sea level, which is the cause of the flooding, according to site manager Tobias Liljegren. They now have three pumps running to remove the water.
Some guests have had to relocate, and parts of the campsite have been forced to close. Despite this, holidaymakers remain in good spirits.
"Our guests have been very positive despite everything. They know it's not the campsite's fault. Some have had to move their motorhomes, caravans, and awnings, but most want to stay," Liljegren tells the newspaper.
Continued Yellow Warning in Götaland
During the day, heavy rain has also fallen over southeastern Götaland. In Kosta, Småland, 74 millimeters of rain fell, reports Ekot.
SMHI had previously issued an orange warning for the area, but it was withdrawn at lunchtime. A yellow warning still applies to a larger area in eastern Götaland on Wednesday afternoon.
