Killer in High-Visibility Vest Strikes Again in Hisingen
A killer in Hisingen wore a high-visibility vest and repeatedly fired shots.
A slim man, dressed in a yellow high-visibility vest and a balaclava or scarf covering parts of his face, moved through the street in the residential area towards a man in his mid-30s. He first fired several shots from a few meters away, causing the targeted man to fall to the ground.
The shooter then approached the man and continued to shoot at close range. According to Expressen's information, several of the shots hit the man in his mid-30s in the head. After the murder was carried out, the shooter fled the scene on an electric scooter.
When the police arrived, the victim was lying next to a car parked in the area.
There were plenty of witnesses on site, including several children, who saw parts of the murder. At Toleredsskolan, located nearby, a parent meeting was being held, and the schoolyard was full of children.
Yesterday's murder in Hisingen, Gothenburg, is seen by the police as revenge for the double murder in Lunden a week ago. The two men shot then are linked by the police to the gang constellation Norra Biskopsgården.
"Escalated the Conflict"
The man in his mid-30s who was shot and gang leader Eddie Jobe, 37, who is internationally wanted for a murder in Tynnered in 2012, have long belonged to the top tier in Södra Biskopsgården. The murdered man was previously convicted alongside Eddie Jobe for serious money laundering offenses. There are close friendships between them, but according to his own statements, the murdered man had left the criminal life behind.
- The murdered in Lunden were known to the police but not leaders. Yesterday's murder targeted individuals higher up in the hierarchy. It is definitely seen as an escalation of the conflict, and we have not seen the end of this, I am afraid, says a person with insight into the current gang environment.
The murdered man was in the area to pick up his car, which was parked a bit from the place where he was shot. Several seizures have been made in the case. In addition to a large number of shell casings, several mobile phones have been found, and cars have been seized. People have been brought in for questioning, several of whom have connections to Norra Biskopsgården.
- We currently have no one in custody, that's all I can say right now, says Tamara Fuentes, spokesperson for the Gothenburg police.
