Forbes has ranked Jukkasjärvi, Sweden, as the 41st most beautiful village in the world. Known for its historic 17th-century church and the famous Icehotel, Jukkasjärvi stands out among global destinations. While Norway's Reine secured the third spot, Jukkasjärvi surpassed Denmark's Gudhjem, which ranked 45th.

On Forbes' list of the 50 most beautiful villages in the world, the Swedish village of Jukkasjärvi ranks at number 41.
Forbes asked travel experts to list the most beautiful villages globally. English village Bibury tops the list, described as a watercolor dream. Hallstatt, one of Austria's UNESCO World Heritage sites, takes second place.
The Nordic region claims bronze with Norway's northern village Reine in third place.
Jukkasjärvi at Number 41
For Sweden, you have to scroll down to number 41. Popular spots like Abisko National Park, Slåttdalsskrevan in Skuleskogen, or Trollforsen in Norrbotten are not included here—this list focuses on villages.
Forbes experts have chosen Jukkasjärvi, highlighting its beautiful old 17th-century church, made of timber and painted red. And, of course, the Icehotel, which is arguably the village's biggest tourist attraction.
Although Norway outshone Sweden in this case, there's some consolation in the fact that Denmark's Gudhjem, located on the island of Bornholm, appears after Jukkasjärvi at number 45.
Interestingly, Bornholm was once Swedish, albeit briefly, in the 17th century.
