Jonas Sjöstedt's Secret Message to Andreas Norlén Amid Government Crisis
Speaker Andreas Norlén feels like Hugh Grant in 'Love Actually'. Yes, he says it, in 'Sommar i P1'. Never has an elected official fought so hard for Sweden; where is his royal medal?
It's said that our Speaker is fun at dinners. I can imagine it. Bubbling with positivity, passionate in his role, well-informed, and with a touch of poetry. There's much to offer the homeland and dinner companions!
I imagine he has a Speaker's phone adorned with a red blinking button and a Swedish flag on the nightstand. When Swedish democracy calls, he jumps out of bed, and before his dear wife can say 'tomato plant!', he's donned his super suit and tied an elegant knot, ready to escort royalty, read a poem by Fröding, bake a Finnish stick, or – form a new government.
He reveals how such things happen in his summer talk.
One evening in January 2019, the Speaker's phone pings, former Left Party leader Jonas Sjöstedt texts the all-clear: 'Good evening, tomorrow's sunrise will offer beautiful yellow light from the left over the homeland and Stefan Löfven'.
Mr. Speaker giggles with delight. Thus, a government crisis in Sweden is averted.
