Ica Store: Wear Clothes When Shopping!
Ica store owner Mattias Karlsson has had enough of scantily clad vacationers. He is now urging customers to dress appropriately.
“A sign at the entrance of an Ica store in the summer town of Köpingsvik on Öland reads, 'In this store, we wear shoes and clothes,' as first reported by P4 Kalmar.
– It might seem obvious, but not to vacationers. Far from it, says Ica store owner Mattias Karlsson, describing how customers often enter the store shirtless, in bikinis, and barefoot.
'Should Be Obvious'
He is tired of sweaty, scantily clad customers wandering around the store.
– I think it's disrespectful to others. I believe putting on a tank top should be a given.
Since putting up the sign, Mattias Karlsson feels the issue with underdressed customers has slightly improved.
– It's gotten a bit better. Some have reconsidered. My staff wonders if we should address people directly, but we haven't gone that far yet, he says.
