The H&M family is in mourning. Owner Stefan Persson's mother, Margit, has passed away at the age of 107.

"She passed away surrounded by her family," reports Kristina Stenvinkel, spokesperson for the Persson family.

H&M founder Erling Persson's first wife, Margit Iacobi, has died at the age of 107.

"Margit Iacobi, 107, passed away yesterday, June 25, after a long and fulfilling life surrounded by her family," states Kristina Stenvinkel, spokesperson for the Persson family.

Margit Iacobi had daughters Sian Bengtsson and Lottie Tham, and son Stefan Persson, with H&M founder Erling Persson. Stefan Persson is now the main owner of the fashion giant and has previously served as CEO and chairman.

Margit Iacobi was previously mentioned with the spelling Margot Lacobi but did not have a public role.
