Gröna Lund Unveils 'Spindeln': Sweden's First Super Jumper Ride
Gröna Lund is launching 'Spindeln' in 2026 – Sweden's first Super Jumper, replacing the 'Flygande mattan'.
This past weekend, visitors to Gröna Lund had the chance to ride the 'Flygande mattan' for the last time. The attraction, a classic since its introduction to the park in 1983, will be replaced by the next season.
Starting in the summer of 2026, visitors can enjoy 'Spindeln'. The carousel is a 'super jumper' and the first of its kind in Sweden, according to the amusement park. Riders will experience bouncing, spinning, and speed, as stated in a press release by Gröna Lund. Anyone over 100 centimeters tall and over four years old, accompanied by an adult, will be able to ride.
The attraction will also feature a specially designed environment.
– In the queue area, guests step directly into the witch's garden, a lush world filled with small secrets and surprises, says Jakob Fagerström, Creative Director at Gröna Lund and Parks and Resorts.
