Gangs Exploit Epa Drivers for Drug Transport in Västerbotten

Youth driving Epa tractors are being utilized by criminal gangs in Västerbotten to carry out various tasks, primarily drug transportation.

The compensation for these tasks varies, including a full tank of gas, drugs, or cash.

According to Tomas Palmgren, a lead investigator with the Umeå police, it's difficult to determine the full extent of the problem.

"We see that this group, having access to vehicles, is appealing to gangs because they can move quickly and efficiently without adult involvement," he told P4.

"Perhaps Less Suspicious"

A person from Umeå who drives an Epa told the radio station that he is aware of the phenomenon.

"It might not be as suspicious if it's done with an Epa compared to a flashy BMW," he told P4 Västerbotten.
