Håkan Juholt, Fröken Snusk, Jan Emanuel, Zeina Mourtada, and Dominika Peczynski compete in SVT's new reality series 'Spelet'. The focus is on power, money, and relationships.
The series follows a South Korean format and is presented as a 'celebrity reality' in SVT's press release. Among the participants are model and purchasing manager Christian Bauer, married to Pernilla Wahlgren, and influencers Julia Franzén and Daniel Paris. They are isolated in a luxury suite at the top of a skyscraper and participate in various competitions aimed at outmaneuvering each other.
'I am proud that Sweden's most unlikely famous cast will compete in our new reality series, a game that is brutal,' says SVT's commissioner Anton Glanzelius in the press release.
Via a Cube
The participants have agreed without knowing what will happen or what kind of competitions await them. They are not instructed by a host but via 'a mysterious cube' and form, according to SVT, 'a miniature society, where one by one is ruthlessly voted out by the group.'
Viewers follow the events through surveillance cameras. After twelve days, one person will remain as the last one standing.
'It will be great drama, personal betrayals, and new friendships on a level rarely seen in Swedish TV,' says Anton Glanzelius.
Disguised
Among the participants are also Ayaan Ahmed, Ikenna 'Ike' Abika, and Hanna Friberg. The recordings were made in the spring, and Fröken Snusk is disguised.
Samir Badran, entertainment journalist Natalie Demirian Genna, host Gry Forssell, and personality researcher Petri Kajonius will comment on the events.
The series premieres on September 14.
