Lorena Delgado Varas and Daniel Riazat, who recently announced their departure from the Left Party, have unveiled a new political initiative called 'Framtidens Vänster'. This movement aims to prioritize human needs over market profits and address issues like socialism, feminism, antiracism, anti-imperialism, and climate justice. The announcement follows internal conflicts and criticism of the Left Party's leadership.

Lorena Delgado Varas and Daniel Riazat, who have announced their departure from the Left Party, are now presenting their new project, described as a 'new political alternative'.
"An alternative that prioritizes people's needs over market profits and dares to stand up against injustices—wherever they appear," states a website called 'Framtidens Vänster'.
The site lists five focus areas: socialism, feminism, antiracism, anti-imperialism, and climate justice.
Dagens ETC was the first to report the news.
On Sunday, Delgado Varas and Riazat, who were facing expulsion threats, announced at a press conference that they are leaving the party—but not the parliament.
"An alternative is coming," Riazat stated.
At the hastily convened press conference, both directed strong criticism at the party and its leader, Nooshi Dadgostar.
"It has become harsher, colder, and more systematic. Organizationally, it has become a Stalinist organization, but politically it is a social democratic party," Delgado Varas remarked.
The controversies surrounding Delgado Varas and Riazat have been numerous, with the former accused by the party of repeatedly showing poor judgment and being urged to resign from her political duties. Riazat has been accused of inappropriate behavior, and according to him, the party wanted to expel him as early as 2023.
Last week, both announced that expulsion proceedings had been initiated against them.
