Forest Fire in Stockholm: Firefighters Struggle to Reach Blaze

A forest fire is raging near Hammarbybacken in southern Stockholm. However, the firefighters are unable to reach the site.

"The forest fire is in a somewhat inaccessible location," says Martin Johansson, operations manager at the rescue service.

The rescue service received the alarm at 11:30 PM on Tuesday night, but the fire is difficult to access, and they have not been able to reach it.

"This forest fire is in a somewhat inaccessible location, so we are working on getting to the fire and starting the extinguishing work. But at the moment, we cannot do that," says Martin Johansson.

Given the fire's challenging position, there is currently no forecast for when the fire might be extinguished.

The rescue service does not want to comment on how many units are involved in the effort.
