Around 20 people from two families were involved in a large brawl at Askimsbadet in Gothenburg on Thursday evening.
"It seems to have been a conflict regarding a swing," said police spokesperson Jennifer Last. Several individuals, including a girl around five years old, were assaulted.
At 7:15 PM on Thursday, police received multiple calls about a large fight at Askimsbadet, one of Gothenburg's most popular beaches.
"It appears to have been a conflict over a swing. It started as a fight between initially two people. Then several others joined in, resulting in about 20 people being involved," said Jennifer Last from the police.
The police have filed a report and a counter-report of assault. Four people are listed as victims: a girl around five years old, two men in their 30s, and a woman in her 35s.
None of the involved required ambulance transport. No arrests have been made.
Many witnesses were on the beach on this warm late summer evening, and several reportedly filmed parts of the brawl.
