Police have been alerted after several individuals received false SMS messages warning that several lions had escaped from Borås Zoo.
During the night, a few people received a text message claiming that lions were on the loose from Borås Zoo.
– This morning, we will gather to assess how many people were affected. Currently, it's two or three individuals, but people might be asleep or have their phones on silent, says Morten Gunneng.
The police have been in contact with MSB, SOS Alarm, and the zoo overnight.
– We have confirmed that the information in the SMS is incorrect, says Gunneng.
The police have initiated a preliminary investigation into fraudulent activity.
– The classification of the investigation may change.
