Two explosions occurred in Östergötland overnight, first at an apartment building in Linköping and then at a house in the neighboring city of Norrköping. Police are investigating possible connections.
An explosion took place at a house in the Björkalund area of Norrköping around 2:30 AM on Thursday.
"It involved some form of detonation. We have material damage to the property, but currently, there are no personal injuries," says Viktor Bergman of the police.
The bomb squad was dispatched to the scene.
An investigation into attempted murder, public endangerment, and aggravated unlawful threats has been initiated. No arrests have been made.
A few hours earlier, another explosion occurred in Östergötland, this time at the entrance to an apartment building in Skäggetorp, Linköping.
"There are no reports of personal injuries, only material damage to the entrance," says Camilla Larsson of the police.
Police are investigating potential links between the incidents.
"Of course, we are doing that, but it's difficult to draw any conclusions at this stage," says Viktor Bergman.
