An explosion has occurred at the entrance of a multi-family building in Kristianstad, shattering the glass on the door.
"An explosion has occurred," says Anders Pålsson, the duty officer at the emergency center.
According to SOS Alarm, the alert was received at 02:32 as a fire in a stairwell. Emergency services and police were dispatched to the scene. However, it was not a fire but an explosion at the entrance of a multi-family building.
No one was injured, and no fire broke out.
"We are wrapping up soon. There has been an explosion, but no injuries and no fire. We are not more involved than that – the police are handling the case," says Anders Pålsson.
The police state on their website that the glass of the entrance door was shattered. No suspects have been identified at this time, and a crime scene investigation is ongoing.
A preliminary investigation into public endangerment has been initiated.
