Erik Källgren Sidelined for Six Months After Surgery
Erik Källgren has been forced to undergo surgery. The Brynäs player is expected to be out for six months, leaving the team without goalkeepers.
It was previously reported that Källgren might need to address a hip injury, and now Brynäs has announced on their website that the goalkeeper has undergone surgery.
According to the club, the 28-year-old will be out for around six months.
"First and foremost, we wish Erik a good rehabilitation and a quick return to the ice," said sports director Johan Alcén in a statement.
Meanwhile, Brynäs is now without goalkeepers, as Ludvig Persson has been recruited by Växjö.
"We are, of course, reviewing our goalkeeper situation and intend to have two viable options when the season starts," Alcén added.
