Emotional Reunion in 'Married at First Sight': Sam and Denise in Tears

The reunion proves challenging for both Sam Haghjoo and Denise Lindquist as they meet for the first time after their divorce, both breaking into tears.

In Monday's episode of 'Married at First Sight', airing at 8 PM on SVT and available on SVT Play, viewers learn about the participants' journeys.

Reuniting after time apart, they watch clips from decision day.

Sam Haghjoo, 36, finds it difficult, tears streaming down his face.

"You feel like you've processed it and it's in the past, but seeing yourself on screen transports you back," he says in the show.

In the clip, his ex-wife Denise Lindquist expresses feeling unwanted, which is hard for Sam to hear.

"I can only imagine how hard it was not to feel wanted when I feel it's one of my biggest weaknesses. I've built a strong defense against feeling unwanted," he says.

Sam wishes he could be vulnerable.

"Yet I ended up being frustrated, stubborn, and harsh towards someone I don't want to be like that with. It's tough having that inside me because I don't want to be mean to anyone," he says.

Denise Lindquist also breaks down during the reunion. She finds it hard to see Sam and struggles to relax, stepping away for some time alone.

"It's been much harder than I thought it would be. I find it quite difficult to be here right now. I get annoyed with myself for being irritated by everything he does. I don't want to feel this way, but it really triggers me, it's very stressful," she says in the show.

"It's really hard for me to go back to old patterns and feel like I'm there again, something I've worked so hard to avoid."
