Double Murder in Kallhäll: Killer Filmed Victims Before Fleeing

The double murderer arrived in Kallhäll by taxi from an address south of the city, according to Expressen. After shooting the victims, he was seen filming them while talking on the phone, then jogging away from the scene.

Shortly after midnight on Monday, two men were found shot dead in a car in Kallhäll, northwest of Stockholm. Prosecutor Maria Hävermark believes it is a gang-related murder.

"It's because of the modus operandi: two people are shot in a car," she says.

A man in his 40s is detained on a lower suspicion level for aiding the murder. The suspicions weakened on Monday after his interrogation. On Wednesday, the prosecutor will decide whether to request his detention.

According to Expressen, the detained man is a taxi driver living in Uppsala. He allegedly drove the suspected murderer from an address south of Stockholm to the address in Kallhäll where the murder took place.

The driver described the passenger as dressed in black and stated that he spoke both Swedish and English but did not provide a clear description, Expressen reports. The trip was paid for in cash.

Witness: Man Talked on Phone – Filmed Victims

A nearby resident was awakened by numerous bangs and looked out the window. The person saw the murdered men's car, which was running, and a taxi, according to Expressen's information.

Between the cars stood a young, dark-clad man talking loudly on the phone, in Swedish with a slight accent. While talking, the young man approached the car's passenger side and filmed or photographed, the witness saw. He then began to walk and eventually jog away down the street, without appearing to flee, according to the information.

Shortly after the murder, an image purportedly showing the murder victims spread on social media.

Victim Was Suspected of Murdering Rapper's Relative

Both murdered men were network criminals, according to Expressen.

One, a 22-year-old, was first convicted at age 15 for threatening and assaulting his middle school teacher. He has long been linked to the Husby's Hyenas network and has been convicted of serious weapons offenses.

The 22-year-old was previously suspected of murdering a relative of a well-known criminal rapper in spring 2021. Shortly after the murder suspicions were dismissed in 2023, the 22-year-old was arrested for other crimes. He was convicted and imprisoned until July this year.

The rapper, whose relative was murdered in 2021, made an Instagram post interpreted as praising the double murder in Kallhäll.

Prosecutor: “Many Different Theories”

The other murder victim in the car was 23 and has belonged to the criminal network Zorba in Upplands Väsby for several years, according to police.

He was convicted of abducting a man in a car and extorting money from him.

According to Aftonbladet, one police theory is that the murder may be linked to an internal conflict within Zorba.

"There are many different theories about what might be behind it, and the police will look at them all," says prosecutor Maria Hävermark.

The shooter remains at large. Hävermark does not comment on whether there is a named suspect who is not in custody.
