On Saturday, the annual athletics competition between Sweden and Finland received a royal visit as Crown Princess Victoria brought Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar to a chilly Stockholm Stadium.
The second day of the competition was sold out, and photos show the trio sitting in a row, with Victoria in the middle, clapping their hands.
And no wonder. Both the Swedish men's and women's teams lead their Finnish opponents after Saturday's events.
Sweden Leads Ahead of Sunday's Competitions
Among the highlights, Armand Mondo Duplantis won decisively in pole vaulting but did not clear six meters, missing a new Finnkampen record.
World star Armand Duplantis was the main attraction in the men's pole vault. He won convincingly, but at a modest 5.80 meters, which is not a new Finnkampen record.
However, Swedish Wilma Nielsen set a Finnkampen record in the women's 1500 meters with a time of 4:08.12. Swedes Yolanda Ngambre and Vera Sjöberg took second and third places.
In the men's 5000 meters, Sweden achieved a triple victory, and Swedish Vanessa Kamga set a Finnkampen record with 64.22 in discus.
Sunday's competitions begin at 1 PM.
