Couple Suspected in Murder After Woman's Body Found in Lake

A man and a woman are suspected of murder, and the man has been requested to be detained.

According to information to Aftonbladet, the deceased is a woman found in a lake. Police spokesperson Robert Sennerdal does not confirm it was a lake but states:

– Yesterday, we conducted investigative measures due to suspicion of a serious crime. Today, we can say it is a suspicion of murder.

Arrested Before the Body Was Found

The suspected man is reported to be a relative of the deceased woman, while the suspected woman is his partner, according to Aftonbladet.

The man is in his 30s and has no previous convictions for serious crimes. He was arrested on Wednesday, the day before the body was found. According to the newspaper, the initial suspicion was abduction.

Both the man and the woman are suspected at a higher degree of suspicion. According to the prosecutor, the murder is believed to have been committed sometime between June 12 and 17 in Danderyd.
