Convicted Murderer Seeks Transfer to Swedish Prison for a Fresh Start

Konrad Tylus, 21, is serving a ten-year prison sentence in Bosnia for the 2023 murder of gang leader Harris “Iceman” Österdahl. He is now applying to be transferred to a Swedish prison, stating his desire to change his life, “start a family, and finish school.”

Harris Österdahl was shot dead in October 2023 in the Bosnian capital, Sarajevo. Österdahl was a leading figure in the criminal gang Foxtrot, aligned with Rawa Majid.

Österdahl was hit by 26 bullets, and the murder has been described as a pure execution.

Together with Abdel-Majid El-Oweiti and Oliver Hedberg, Konrad Tylus was charged with the murder in a Bosnian court. All three were sentenced to ten years in prison each, following an agreement with the prosecutor.

Previously, Konrad Tylus was sentenced to probation and fines for several drug offenses and fraud.

Konrad Tylus's Plan in Sweden: “Start a Family”

In June 2025, Konrad Tylus's lawyer submitted an application to the Swedish government for Tylus to serve his prison sentence in Sweden in the future.

The application highlights that a transfer to a Swedish prison would “promote his opportunities for reintegration into society after serving his sentence.”

Konrad Tylus himself writes in a letter attached to the application that he wants to create a new life in Sweden. He states that he has his family in Sweden, but it is expensive to keep in touch with them from Bosnia.

When asked, “What are your plans after release?” Tylus outlines his ambitions:

“Change my life, start a family, finish school, engage in the electrical industry. And stay in Sweden after release.”

Expressen has sought Konrad Tylus's lawyer Melvin Keric, but he declined to comment on the application.
