Controversy Surrounds SD's Jessica Stegrud Over Filming Incident

Linda Lindberg, leader of the Sweden Democrats' parliamentary group, has reviewed the footage where SD member Jessica Stegrud follows and films two teenagers with a far-right man.

She has not yet spoken with Jessica Stegrud.

"I want to have a calm conversation to understand what is really happening," says Lindberg.

What Feels Unsettling?

"The whole situation feels unsettling, and I believe many perceive it that way. But I need to have a dialogue with the member before I can comment further," says Linda Lindberg.

Filming Incident

According to Expo, Jessica Stegrud followed and filmed two teenagers with far-right activist Nick Alinia, who later spread the video online to expose the teenagers.

Stegrud confirmed in a post on X that she was with Nick Alinia and filmed, claiming she did so because she felt threatened.

Mohamsson: Ask Jimmie

The opposition has demanded Jessica Stegrud's resignation following the revelation.

Liberal leader Simona Mohamsson, present at the same press conference as Linda Lindberg, offered a brief comment.

"I am responsible for my members in the liberal parliamentary group and my team. I think you should ask Jimmie Åkesson if he tolerates such behavior in his team," says Mohamsson.
