Concerns Rise as Popular Nude Beach Featured on Inappropriate Forum

Malsjön in Strängnäs municipality is a favored spot among nude bathers. However, it has also been highlighted on an inappropriate forum, causing bathers to feel unsafe, reports SVT Sörmland.

In a forum focused on outdoor activities, men share tips on places where they can engage in inappropriate behavior in nature, often wanting to be near others.

One frequently mentioned location is Malsjön in Åkers styckebruk, a long-appreciated destination for nude bathers.

It was after an unwanted encounter at the beach that "Lisa," who spoke with SVT and whose real name is different, discovered that the bathing spot was recommended on the forum. The thread includes comments such as:

"Nice place. I've been there many times. I walk past the first beach and stop at the far end. I undress and enjoy the sun."

"A bit further away (...) there are often shared activities."

"Lisa" was swimming during the Midsummer weekend when a man suddenly sat behind her and started talking.

"It created a sense of insecurity in me that I will carry with me," she says, adding that she never wants to swim there again.

"Has Happened More Than Once"

Niclas Ember, chairman of the Naturist Association, emphasizes that the naturism movement has nothing to do with inappropriate behavior.

"We completely distance ourselves from such behavior," he tells SVT.

However, at unofficial nude beaches, it sometimes happens that voyeurs appear to watch, engage in inappropriate activities, or make sexual advances.

"Unfortunately, it has happened more than once," he explains.
