Chaotic Night of Violence Across Sweden: Multiple Assaults Reported

Food and bottles were thrown, and arms were bitten. It was a tumultuous and wet Saturday night across the country.

In Sollefteå, police responded to a pub night and recorded two reports of assault. Among the incidents, a man reportedly hit five people.

At a restaurant in Östersund, a woman allegedly struck another woman. The woman, in her 50s, was taken into custody by police under the law for handling intoxicated individuals, and an assault report was filed (LOB).

In Karlstad, a man in his 30s was detained under LOB, and during the process, he became so unruly that security guards had to restrain him. He is now suspected of violent resistance. Police also received several assault reports following an event in Forshaga, and in Arvika, where a woman in her 20s was assaulted and had food thrown at her by an unknown assailant.

Woman Bites Woman

At a restaurant in Falun, a 20-year-old man allegedly hit a man in his 30s. Police arrested the man on suspicion of assault and removed several other individuals from the scene.

In Hallsberg, a woman in her 40s reportedly bit a slightly younger woman on the arm and is now suspected of assault.

In Sävsjö, two men in their 20s entered a party uninvited. When asked to leave, they allegedly became aggressive, and one of them reportedly threw a bottle at a party guest. The men then moved to another location, where one of them was assaulted. A total of three assault reports were filed, but no one was detained or required hospital care.
