Celebrity Accused of Secretly Filming Women During Intimate Encounters
When a woman had an intimate encounter with a celebrity, she discovered a camera. The man is now charged with offensive photography against four women after more videos were found.
– I always felt he was overstepping boundaries, one woman said during questioning.
In August 2024, a woman visited the celebrity she met on Tinder. They had previously met for coffee and were on their second date.
She knew he was 13 years older than he claimed on his dating profile.
The date led to intimacy at his apartment in central Stockholm, but after the act, the woman discovered a camera, according to the indictment.
During questioning, the woman said she saw videos of two other women on the memory card.
She became worried and started recording her conversation with the celebrity.
– You filmed me, you filmed me without telling me. That's not okay. Don't say 'oh my God' as if I'm the crazy one, the woman said in the recorded conversation that the police reviewed.
In the audio recording, the man blamed the camera on a previous incident. According to the indictment, he claimed a woman falsely accused him of rape and that he wanted to record the act to feel safe, to show that the act was consensual if needed.
The celebrity then deleted all material on the memory card and gave it to the woman, and they destroyed the camera with a hammer together.
But with the help of a program, the woman managed to recover what was deleted and discovered even more films of other women.
Police Raid Celebrity's Home
In early October, the police raided the man's home, conducted a search, and took him to the station.
At the home, police found several cameras, discs, and a large box in the closet. The box contained sex toys, latex masks, and whips.
Police also seized the celebrity's phone and computer.
On the phone, they found pictures, films, and information that allowed them to identify several of the women in the discovered films.
One woman, whom the celebrity met through the dating app Hinge, said she was almost in a relationship with the man and felt he had difficulty accepting a no.
– He took liberties, she said during questioning.
According to her, he never asked if he could film their intimate acts with his phone, but he did it anyway.
– So what I've been sleepless over is, he filmed me. And I've thought a lot about it at night. What he might do with this material, she said during questioning.
When she asked if she could see the films, the celebrity said he deleted them, according to the woman.
When the woman was shown one of the films, recorded with a camera in the man's bedroom, she was shocked and asked the investigator to pause.
She had no idea the occasion was filmed, she said and continued:
– I always felt he was overstepping boundaries.
Surprise in Police Interrogation
Another woman said the man asked if he could film their intercourse with his phone – and she said yes. Other times she said no – and felt the man stopped filming, she said during questioning.
However, the woman had no idea he also filmed the acts with another camera, and when she saw the video of herself and the man, she was surprised.
Another woman said she also met the man on Hinge.
They then had sex in the celebrity's apartment, and she gave the man permission to film the act with his phone – as long as no one else would see it.
During questioning, the woman learned she would see two films recorded with a camera that seemed hidden, according to the investigator.
When the first started, the woman stopped the playback. She didn't want to see the second film.
When the questioning resumed, the woman said she felt "very, very violated" and that the man "has power over her" and that "she doesn't know what's happening."
Another woman saw two films of herself that the celebrity allegedly filmed secretly, according to the preliminary investigation report.
She was surprised and said she felt "small, like an object."
Celebrity's Words in Interrogation – Denies
In late September, the man was interrogated – he denies all allegations.
The celebrity said that before the acts, he told the women he had a surveillance camera in his apartment due to previous bad experiences and implied that the acts would be recorded.
– I understand that consent is very important. And that it's word against word. So this was insurance for myself. To protect myself, the celebrity said during questioning.
He disagreed that he hid the camera.
That in all the films, a cap first covers the camera, which he removes at the beginning of the act, he explained by saying he "simply bumped into it when passing by" or that the cap fell to the floor.
The man claimed the camera was always visible.
When asked if he knew it was illegal to secretly film someone this way, he answered in the interrogation:
– I don't know, I mean... A form of surveillance camera in one's own home. To protect oneself. Yes, I don't know if there's a gray area there or... how protective one can be. I don't think I had any intent to harm her in any way.
When the celebrity heard the audio recording, which the woman who discovered the camera made, he agreed with the preliminary investigation leader that it sounded like the woman didn't know he would record their act.
– It's unfortunate that there was such a big misunderstanding, the man said during questioning.
That none of the women said they knew about the camera, the celebrity explained as a post-construction. That they might have "regretted it" or "feel ashamed."
Facing Prison
The man is now charged with five counts of offensive photography against four women, all between 20 and 35 years old.
– We have the films themselves and the testimonies from the plaintiffs who state they didn't know they were being filmed, so I think there's a very good chance of a conviction, said prosecutor Agnes Morén.
The penalty scale includes fines up to two years in prison. The prosecutor cannot yet say what she will demand.
– I would guess it will be at the prison level, but then depending on the statement, it could be a community service sentence like a conditional sentence or probation.
Expressen has sought the celebrity's lawyer, who has no comments until the trial.
