Carl Bildt Criticizes Trump's Flattery

Donald Trump is adept at praising himself and welcomes others doing the same. His staff knows that flattery is an effective way to keep the boss in a good mood.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt praises Trump as the man who brings peace to the world, stating at a Washington press conference that peace was achieved between Thailand and Cambodia as soon as the U.S. president intervened.

“Time for Trump to Receive the Peace Prize”

– The President has now ended conflicts between Thailand and Cambodia, Israel and Iran, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, India and Pakistan, Serbia and Kosovo, as well as Egypt and Ethiopia, she says, continuing:

– This means President Trump has brokered at least one peace agreement per month during his six months in office. It is high time President Trump receives the Nobel Peace Prize, she says.

However, not everyone is convinced of Trump's greatness. In an ironic post on X, former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Carl Bildt (M) writes that the president also deserves the Nobel Prize in Economics in memory of Alfred Nobel.

“Trump naturally deserves not only the Nobel Peace Prize but also the Economics Prize due to his trade policies. This according to – you guessed it! – his advisors. Flattery is what counts over there,” writes Bildt.

Others jokingly suggest in Bildt's feed that Trump should also receive the Nobel Prize in Literature for his book “The Art of the Deal” or the Chemistry Prize for his spray-on tan.
