Car Crashes into Outdoor Café in Örebro

A car drove straight into a restaurant at Järntorget in Örebro during the night. The driver then fled the scene. With the help of the public, the police were able to locate the driver.

At 2:22 AM, a call was made to the police after a witness heard a loud crash and saw a car drive into an outdoor seating area in central Örebro.

The car then left the scene.

– The public spotted a suspicious-looking car a short distance away and managed to stop it. When we arrived, we found a woman in her 20s who was heavily intoxicated, says Torbjörn Roos, the duty officer in the Bergslagen region.

No one was injured in the incident. The woman is suspected of aggravated drunk driving and unlawfully leaving the scene of a traffic accident.
