Avanza Faces Technical Glitch: Users Frustrated as Portfolios Disappear
The online bank Avanza is currently facing a technical issue. Users' portfolios appear empty, displaying an error message instead.
"This is really bad, many are upset," says user Björn Andersson.
Shortly before 3 PM, Downdetector began receiving reports of technical problems at Avanza.
"It's true that we are experiencing technical issues. We don't know much yet, but we have all hands on deck to troubleshoot. Our priority right now is to get everything running smoothly again," says Felicia Schön, a private economist at Avanza.
The exact number of affected users is unclear, but Downdetector has received over 2000 error reports.
"We actually have no forecast for when it might be resolved, but we are doing everything we can right now. We don't know more at this time," says Felicia Schön.
The issue has been highlighted by portfolios appearing empty and instead showing an error message stating "information missing."
"This is really bad"
One of the individuals who encountered the problem is Björn Andersson, 60, from Stockholm.
"I logged into Avanza a while ago. I found no information about my stock holdings, just that all my stocks were sold," he says.
Björn uses Avanza as a broker and says he placed a buy order earlier, but it has not been executed.
"This is really bad, many are upset. The same thing happened recently. Twice in a short time, it really doesn't inspire confidence."
